 10 am staff meeting in the meeting room 6th floor. All Cambridge teachers.

Objective: Understand and practice "Do Now" Activities in the classroom

 Back to School Meetings with parents. Homeroom teachers will meet with parents, Meetings will be organized online with zoom link (More information will be coming)

Weds

Welcome back and welcome to the first posting of Learning this Week!

Communication

This weekly communication is intended to help us all work together. To help maintain communication in school:

·         I request that you check your email at the start and finish of the day. Important information will be shared through email

·         The21 ESR Mecteb What's App group will be used for immediate, urgent information for the whole group. Please do not post on Whatsapp unless it is important to everyone

·         Also, keep an eye out over each weekend for the sharing of this post “Learning this week” for teachers. It will be shared through email and through the what's app group.

·         A weekly newsletter section is being added to the school webpage to keep families and the community up to date

In  Individual Meetings between myself and teachers

Over the next 2-3 weeks I will have an individual meeting with all members of staff. This will only have to be 10-15 minutes long. I want to be sure I have a chance to meet everyone and find out what I can do to support you. I plan on meeting about five people a day and will send out an email the day before the meeting inviting you. If you get an email asking me to wee you, please do not panic!  

So again, be sure to read your email. It is a tall order for me to meet everyone over a 2 week period. Please be on time when you are invited.

In the meeting, we will discuss such things as: “How do you want to be seen as a teacher?”,  “What can I expect to see when I visit your class”, “What do you need/ what can I do to help you?”.

Parent Back To School Meetings

You will notice Parent Meetings are on the agenda this week. They will be organized as online zoom meetings. Homeroom teachers will be meeting the parents to introduce the school year.

More details will be coming, and I will provide the Homeroom teachers with some guidance on preparing for this.

Uniforms

Uniforms are now ready and can be collected by homeroom teachers.

I thank everyone for all their work preparing for a great school year! More information will be coming this week as events unfold!

White Board Training

You will also notice Electronic White Board training on the agenda. More information will be coming on when and where. You can have a look at this video to get a preview of what the Electronic White Board can do.
