Monday meeting 3:50-4:30 Whole staff, Grade 4 room

Friday afternoon Weekly lesson plans for the following week due in folders. See lesson plans below.

Parent meetings

Tues Oct 4, 4:00 Grade 7 in the grade 7 room. Grade 7 and 6 will start IGCSE in grade 8 for 2 years

Weds Oct 5, 4:00 Grade 6 in the grade 6 room. Grade 7 and 6 will start IGCSE in grade 8 for 2 years

Primary Meeting Thursday, Oct 6. Grade 1-5. Overview of Cambridge Curriculum pathway. Tea, meet and greet. Get to know each other.

Leader in me

We will be starting the Leader in me lessons in class this week. In most cases these are being run by Homeroom teachers. Resources can be found on the Website for Leader in Me leader in me https://www.leaderinme.com/

This should not be too difficult now that the Semester Plan is in place.

We are implementing Weekly lesson plans in conjunction with the Semester Annual Plan. This is being shared this week and introduced during the Monday Meeting. This Friday, Oct 7 the weekly plans for Oct 10-14 should be submitted.

This should also be communicated on MIS.

WHY The weekly lesson plan is not just a list of lesson, but a map of learning that can help power teacher ownership, collaboration and reflection in school. It will help

· Promote intentional teaching and learning

· Build teaching and learning on previous experiences

· Inform students why they are there and what they will do

· Inform parents and families of the importance of learning in school and what to expect

· Create institutional memory

· Support your colleagues

What do teachers need to do?

Before leaving school Friday, Submit the complete plan for the next week

Go to the Shared folder. Find the folder named Weekly lesson plan. Open it and create a folder with your name. Submit the document

The Oct 3 time table should be the final one. Please use the timetable Oct 3. It was shared on Thursday and Friday and is on the Edupage app. If you do not have the edupage app, let me or Mr. Hans know, and we can help you set it up.
