Week Sept 27-31

Congratulations on making it through the first full week!

First, a new schedule is being shared by Mr. Hans, Named Sept 26. These are smaller changes. The Home Room teachers have been taken of the Tech class and the Art Teacher has picked them up. Some other smaller changes as well.

1.       Monday at noon we have a commemoration for memorial day, secondary school

·         At 11:50 escort your class to the hall quietly

·         Line them up in front of the class

·         We will make a large circle around the common hallway

·         History teacher will speak

·         Presentation by students


All teachers supervise students. They should be quiet and respectful.

2.       Staff Meeting. Monday at 4:15 in the grade 8 room

·         Update on grade 8 progress

·         Introduce class journal to grade 6-7

·         Discipline V Routines

·         Lesson Structure

 

3.       There will be an MIS training session this week for new teachers. More Information coming

 

Student Supervision:

  • Keeping students in class. Thank you for the work keeping students in class. when class starts, they should not leave the room except for an emergency. Class is only 40 minutes, they can wait for the bathroom.
  • All teachers are responsible for supervising students at all times. No adult in the building is ever "Off Duty". No students are "Not My Students". 
  • If You See Something, Do Something
  •  Continue monitoring use of telephones. Thank you for collecting them at the start of class! Remember not to use phones yourself for personal reasons, only for professional reasons

Main idea:

When starting any small or big action, you need to have an End in Mind. What is it that you are trying to accomplish at the end? Answering this will help you with your decision making and direction.
